On the bank of Pärnu river is Estonia’s greenest town – Türi. Beautifully groomed gardens greet visitors right on the edge of town.

The “Kastelli’s homes in Türi” residential area is located in the suburbs of the
beautiful and peaceful spring capital of Türi. Seventeen residential plots
are bordered by Mäekalda Street to the east and by the state forest
to the north and west.

There is a pond in the middle of the area with a
footpath access from each plot. A walking
trail for recreational sportsmen and
nature enthusiasts has been
constructed around the pond.

A relaxing walk is the best way
to get acquainted with the town
of gardens, because everything
in Türi is only a walk away!

Traffic and utility networks

Paved access roads have been constructed to all plots, which come from Mäekalda and the recently developed Tiigi Street by the forest. The final part of access roads between plots is extended so that motorised transport has room to turn around.

Connection points for central water and sewerage, storm water, electricity and communications cables have been constructed on the borders of all residential plots. Mäekalda and Tiigi streets, access roads to plots and the trail around the pond are connected to the street lighting system of the city.

Why a wooden house?

Kastelli’s wooden house packages provide the opportunity to construct a low-energy house (up to 120 kWh/m2 per year). The final energy class results from utility systems – the solutions for water, electricity, heating and ventilation. For the best result, we recommend using a renewable thermal energy source (such as heat pumps) and ventilation with heat recovery.

Kastelli’s houses are wooden structure houses based on pre-cut technology where the load-bearing part is made of laminated timber. Roof girders enable to use stone roofing and the roof also has snow load bearing capacity of up to 220 kg/m2.
Our buyers have preferred wooden houses because wood is a pleasant and warm material, using wood also helps slow down climate change. In a situation where the increasing population of Earth needs
more and more food and therefore also more agricultural land, we cannot
depend on the generation of growing forest – when it binds the most
carbon dioxide – by creating new forest land. For a new forest
generation to grow, old forest must be cut and the wood
must be used. The best place for using it is
construction, because wood in construction
is removed from the carbon circulation
for a long time, and when the wooden
house is demolished one day,
the wood can be used to produce
energy or chipboard.

The advantages of building with Kastelli’s system

The pre-cut construction system offers a simple, fast and quality opportunity for building your own home. Building a good quality house does not require a lot of construction experience because the details and structures are cut to measures, marked and mortised. Kastelli’s house package comes with accurate construction projects and a thorough construction manual which also simplifies building on your own.
Another important advantage of an assembled house is that the whole construction is completed under the eye of the constructor, with the opportunity to take part in it in person.
Kastelli’s process includes the compact delivery of materials where the constructor saves time and effort because the whole house package comes from Kastelli with a single contract.
One of the most important advantages of a Kastelli house is thermal insulation. Exterior walls and inserted floors insulated with mineral wool in separate directions ensure a uniform humidity resistance and thermal insulation, which notably decreases heating expenses. Plasterboard used as wind barrier around the exterior walls of a Kastelli house is tight, humidity resistant, and breathes. The insulation layers of the exterior wall and inserted floors are tightly connected, which prevents thermal bridges. Steam insulation is placed between layers of wool, which prevents drafts and also stays intact around sockets in external walls. Horizontal sarking on the walls also functions as the fixing point for ceiling and floor mouldings, preventing the possible damage to steam and thermal insulation during construction.
An assembled house has good sound insulation because the rigid laminated timber structure of dividing walls is attached to external walls before attaching plaster board, with which the possible distribution of sound is drowned in external walls.
